Food program paid special visit by Sen. Roberts' staff

Posted: Friday, August 1, 2014 1:00 pm

The Hiawatha ACES No Hunger Summer food program was paid a special visit on the program’s penultimate day by Anthony Bruna, a staff member to Kansas Sen. Pat Roberts in Topeka.

Bruna’s visit recently has been a testament to the program’s success. Representatives of Second Harvest Community Food Bank in St. Joseph, Missouri, the non-profit organization which provides food for the program, joined ACES members Angie Gilpin and Dusty Jones for Bruna’s visit as well.

In case you doubt that this is redistribution of wealth, go to the NHS - Second Harvest Community Food Bank's web page and scroll to the bottom of the page. It specifically states, "Funding provide by the United States Department of Agriculture's Summer Food Service Program." Money first had to be taken from taxpayers to pay for this, to be redistributed to ANYONE, (per the Hiawatha World's article above) REGARDLESS of NEED. Here is the Second Harvest web page: http://www.ourcommunityfoodbank.org/index.cfm/pageid/162/

This sickness of STEALING from taxpayers in order to redistribute their earnings must stop. You are not now, and have never been entitled to the earnings of another.

Just another example of many that Senator Roberts and his staff have heavy socialist leanings. Redistribution of wealth at its finest. But that's just my opinion.
