The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ children’s choir would like to do its part in helping the Horton Hospital as it re-opens by giving 80 percent of any offering received at its very first concert which had already been planned for 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 7 at the church at 120l Central.
Previous plans were to give a portion of the proceeds to an international ministry for needy children but with the recent news of the hospital’s planned re-opening, thoughts changed to helping right here in Horton.
The choir, under the direction of Ivy Stone, is made up of children ranging from age 5 to 13 from Horton and surrounding areas. The spirited and talented vocalists are excited to present an hour-long concert of songs, some featuring three-part harmony. The event will also include local guest artists, Ashtyn Keo, pianist and Kiara Stone, vocalist.
Refreshments will be served immediately after the concert. Everyone is welcome.
