The Fairview Willing Workers met for their June meeting Sunday, June 9. We met at the Community Building in Fairview. There were 13 members and 12 parents in attendance. The meeting was called to order by President, Hunter Lowdermilk. Roll Call was done by Secretary, Avery Baumgartner. Roll call was answered by telling what your favorite fair project is.
A lot of discussion was made on the upcoming fair. We talked about the lemonade stand. We decided to meet at 4:45 to set up and that the stand would run from 5:30 to 7:30. We will sell lemonade for $2. We talked about clean up which we plan on doing Thursday afternoon. We also discussed the banner and the cow.
We had discussion on some new members joining our club and the idea of creating some by laws for the club. More discussion will be taken on this at a later date.
We ended by taking note of the pool party for the entire county 4-H members. It will be free to members this year. It will be held in Sabetha at the Sabetha pool on Aug. 4 from 8-10 pm.
There were no programs given this month. However, participants of Discovery Days and 4-H camp talked about their experiences.
Our next monthly meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 4 at the Library Park in Sabetha. The club will provide pizza. This will be our membership drive. That day is also the county swim party at 8 at the Sabetha pool.
