Regular scheduling of the community-based Women’s Bible Study in downtown Hiawatha returns Aug. 21 with weekly sessions on Wednesdays at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Participants meet at the Eternal Hope Family Life Center, 424 Oregon St., Hiawatha.

All women are invited to FIRST CORINTHIANS: Living Love When We Disagree, a dvd-based Bible Study by Melissa Spoelstra offered Aug. 21 – Oct. 2. Relationships are messy. We can struggle to get along – especially with those who disagree with us. Often we find ourselves divided – even as Christians. How can we work out our differences and disagreements in a loving way while still remaining true to what we believe? The Apostle Paul wrote to the Christians living in Corinth about this very thing. We can learn from his example of how to deal with conflict and division – whether in the workplace, neighborhood, school, home, social media community, or church. We’ll discover how to handle our differences with humility and grace, while showing the radical love of Jesus Christ, and we’ll find encouragement and practical help for walking this out in our daily lives. An optional $10.50 Study Guide is available at all sessions.

It doesn’t matter if you’ve never been to church, or if you belong to a different church family. What DOES matter is that women of all ages, from every walk of life, can be shoulder-to-shoulder as we find encouragement and practical help for handling our differences.
