The Hiawatha Lions recently gave “Thank You” gift bags to those who put their lives on the line to protect us and keep us safe.

Lions members attended the Fire Department meeting on Monday, March 6 and gave out gift bags to all firemen present for their meeting and left enough gift bags for those firemen who weren’t at the meeting. Then on Wednesday, March 8 the Lions visited the police department and the sheriff’s office to drop off gift bags for those officers. The Lions want our public servants to know how much they are appreciated and hope that by appreciating them with these gift bags they are encouraged to want to continue to serve our community.
