Hiawatha wrestlers started their season wrestling for Doniphan West this week

It may be a strange sight to see a bunch of Hiawatha Red Hawks wearing navy and orange, but that is exactly what spectators will see this junior high school wrestling season, as three Hawks will wrestle with the Doniphan West squad. The team started their year this week.

Jerek Shoemaker, Brenner Lowe and Rafe Schuetz all took the mat at Doniphan West’s home meet. Shoemaker went 1-2, pinning his opponent in his win. Lowe was also 1-2 with a victory by pin, and Schuetz went 2-1, earning both his wins by pinfall.
