Allen Dale Cavin


Allen Dale Cavin, 62, died from injuries received from a farm accident on June 24, 2025, near Bendena, Kansas.
Allen was born in Sabetha, KS, on January 22, 1963, one of seven children born to Wesley and June Morris Cavin. He grew up at Wetmore where he attended schools and graduated high school there.
Allen spent most of his working life as an over-the-road truck driver. He also enjoyed woodworking when he wasn’t truck driving. He worked hard and loved his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids, and his dog which was a big part of his life.
He was married to Sheri Lynn Smith ‘MAW’, on March 10, 1986. They made their home at Robinson for many years. She died on September 10, 2020. He was also preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers: J.C. and Ronald.
Survivors include his children Russ (Rickie) Gonzales of Leadville; Amie (Jeffrey) Brassfield and Kris (Robin) Gonzales, both of Hiawatha; Grandchildren: Sanciya, Francis, Ranaoh, Preston, Shaine, Cheyenne, Nevaeh, Kymira, Bay, Chloe, Gavin, Michael, Oakley, Akasha, Isabella, Lydia, Zayden, Sklyer, Camden; and numerous great-grandkids. Also surviving are his siblings: Bill, Bob, Jerry, and Mary.
A celebration of Allen’s life is planned for 5 p.m. Friday, July 4, 2025, at Allen’s home 308 Main Street, Robinson. Private inurnment will be at a later date at the Rose Hill Cemetery, Robinson.
