It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Brenden Lee Burnett, an energetic and loving soul, who passed away on March 26, 2025, at the age of 16.
Brenden was born in St. Joseph, Missouri, on November 6, 2008, and lived a life full of love for food, movies, and cartoons.
He is survived by his parents (Joshua, Kaitlin, Sherri, Aaron); his brothers: Noah, Warren, and Quintin, his sister Raven; his grandparents: Jamie, Dawn, Melanie, Dennis, Judy, Chris, Erik, Drew, and Peg.
A celebration of Brenden’s life will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hiawatha. Cremation will follow services with private inurnment at a later date.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Friday where the family will meet from 5-7 that evening.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Brenden Burnett Memorial Fund sent in care of the funeral home, 124 S 7th St., 66434.
The family asks for casual dress. A meal will follow services at Windmill Lane on the grounds of the Ag Museum at the Bruning Barn in Hiawatha.
