A Doniphan West High School student was awarded a scholarship by the Warwick, RI-based Corvias Foundation, according to a press release by the organization on Thursday, July 17.

EMPORIA, KS (07/15/2025)-- Over 500 Emporia State University students graduated during ceremonies in May 2025. Graduate students were recognized May 9; undergraduate students on May 10. Students from this area who graduated include the following:
Dr. Brad Robért--originally of Hiawatha and the son of Duane and Cathy Robért--was featured in an article titled “Veterinarians Sometimes Deal with Dangerous Diseases” by Russel Gagnon of The Blade Empire in Concordia that was published on June 26.
The Morrill Public Library ended its Summer Library Program with a Celebration Carnival Thursday, July 10 at the library.
