Energy corridor resolution discussed, revenue-neutral rate published

The commissioners discussed about a resolution regarding opposing the National Interest Electric Transmission Corridor (NIETC) during Monday morning’s meeting. Commissioner Richard Lehmkuhl said it would be a good idea to speak with Brown County Attorney Kevin Hill about speaking with attorney Patrick Hughes about a resolution, as the NIETC line would be taking 20% of Brown County land and that houses might be lost if the energy corridor goes through Brown County as he said, “I do believe we got to give the landowners something to fight with.” Lehmkuhl also emphasized that Brown County needed to be fought for but it needed to be fought for in a legal way.
