The Lady Lightning 12-and-under team took the title of Heartland World Series Champions in Kansas City, with three Hiawathabased girls in the team. The Lady Lightning team played in nine tournaments and two scrimmages in this season ending as the top bracket champions in the Heartland World Series.

As Hiawatha Post 66 American Legion Team Manager, I am extremely proud of the accomplishments our program has achieved over the past years. This year, we have been extremely fortunate to send both our Junior and Senior teams to the American Legion state tournament.
