A car crash which resulted in a passenger’s death happened in Doniphan County yesterday.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the crash happened at K7 Highway at 8:41 a.m. Katlyn Folsom, 22, of Troy, was killed in the crash and was taken to Becker-Dyer Funeral Home in Atchison.
KHP stated that the 2012 Toyota Tundra driven by Maria Keys, 37, of Bendena was northbound on K7. Kace Keller, 22, of Troy was driving southbound on K7 in a 2002 Chevy Suburban. Keys crossed the center line and struck Keller’s vehicle head on.
KHP stated that Keys and Keller suffered “suspected minor” injuries and were taken to Mosaic Life-Care in Saint Joseph, MO. Keys and Folsom were wearing safety restraints, but Keller was not at the time of the crash.
