Jimmie K. Lange

Jimmie Keith Lange, 87, of Topeka, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.

He was born June 4, 1937, in Hiawatha, Kansas, the son of Ewald and Edith (Martinson) Lange. He served in the Army National Guard during the Korean War.

Jimmie was employed by Roach Hardware for 9 years, until retiring.

Mr. Lange volunteered for Stormont Vail for many years.

Jimmie married Julia Lange on June 8, 1958 in Clay Center. She survives. Other survivors include daughter, Terri Willard; son, Timothy Lange (Diane Steenson); grandchildren, Kari (Nick) Wager, Erika Blancas (Robert Rolin), Kerri (Bryan) Watts, Amber (Jarid) Castle, and Cody (McKenzie) Lange; great grandchildren, Makhayla Murray, Jayden Wager, Summer Rolin, Addison Krahn, Anna Krahn and Bella Young.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Tonya K Humble, daughter-in-law, Leslie Lange, and siblings, Richard Lange and Alberta Byer.

Jimmie loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed being outside especially mowing lawns on his John Deere Tractor, watching his son racing, traveling, and driving his old Toyota truck. He liked reading and watching old Westerns, listening to country music, telling stories about his time in the service, and enjoyed a good meal.

A memorial ceremony will be held at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Parker-Price & Davidson Funeral Home, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS 66608. A reception will follow the service.
