Ramon Robinson Combs

Ramon Robinson Combs was born July 6, 1951, to Ramon Combs and Florence Alice (Robinson) Combs in Hiawatha, Kansas. The oldest of five children, he grew up in Hiawatha with one brother and three sisters.
 During his elementary years, Robbie (as he was known) was a Boy Scout and went on to become a high school football player and run track. At one point in elementary school, he experienced “15 seconds of fame” with the Boy Scouts when he performed a skit on a television show (KQTV, St. Joseph Missouri), where he played one of the chipmunks from “Alvin and The Chipmunks”.
 Beyond high school, he pursued the art of barbering at the Kansas School of Barbering in Wichita.
 Focusing on wanting more for himself, he joined the Air Force, spending eight years as a security specialist and eleven years as a Staff Sergeant.
 He would meet and marry Tambrue E. Summers, this union would bear two children, Dulcia A.I. Combs-Richardson and Emmanuel R.L. Combs.Later in life, he married Patricia A. Woodard, this union would bear two children Kristen D. Combs and Karissa A. Combs.
 Upon retirement, Ramon worked at Crest Foods, Jasco, and Beaver Express where he drove a forklift.
 Ramon was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, doing anything he could to help his family when needed.
He was an integral part of any church he attended and served on the usher board. He was headusher at Living Word Missionary Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, as well as a Deacon and usher at Your Kingdom Come Ministry (Iglesia) in Oklahoma City.
 Ramon was a quiet watchful man, but you could always count on him cutting up with his brother, cousins, children, grandchildren, or nieces and neph­ews when there was a card game going on during the holidays, or anytime the Kansas City Chiefs were playing!
 Ramon was preceded in death and joined his father Ramon, wife Patricia, and daughter Kristen in his new home in Heaven.
 He will live on in the memories of his mother Florence, brother Lawrence “Louie” Isaac, sistersTerri Alice, Deborah “Debbie” Ann, and Vicki Renee Combs; children Dulcia Combs-Richardson (Jacques), Emmanuel Combs (Carita), Karissa Combs (Ashley); grandchildren Jacqari Richardson, Ja’Quan Richard­son, Madyson Combs, Kaiden Davis, Karalynn Combs and Kairo Combs;step-grandsons Andrew Yalcintas and family; Jacques “Junie” Yalcintas and family; great-grandson Amiri Brannon; as well as a wonderful host of additional family members, friends, and
acquaintances.
