Brown County Kansas Association of Retired School Personnel met for a bi-monthly luncheon meeting Monday, July 21. Approximately 23 members were present as President Carol Bunning welcomed and thanked all the members who helped to support the luncheon meeting. Vice President, Judy Jones led the members in the flag salute, mission statement and mottos. Janice Elliott gave an inspirational moment, and Secretary Staci Charles shared written minutes from the previous meeting on May 12. The minutes were read and approved as written. Treasurer Mary Benson shared a typed treasurer’s report with the members, and this was also approved as written by the members.
Truth seems hard to ascertain these days. Each side has their own spin on the truth and neither side tells “the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help me God.” That isn’t something new. It was a problem back in Jesus’ day. When Jesus told Pilate that he came to testify to the truth, Pilate asked him, “What is truth?” (John 8:38)
