The Hiawatha Swim Team competed at the Sabetha swim meet on Saturday, June 28. At the meet, Hiawatha faced the swim teams from both Sabetha and Falls City, NE; Hiawatha overall earned a score of 667.
First Baptist Church will host a water fight on Saturday, July 12. This event will be open to the whole community and it will be full of water attractions, games, a free hot dog meal and more.
Hiawatha Post 66 lost the first game of a double header on Friday night on June 27. They were defeated by the Senators Post 421 of Topeka by the score of 9-5. The loss was a tough one, as Hiawatha was ahead by four runs at one point.
