Red Hawks Defeated in Homecoming Matchup

The Hiawatha Red Hawks welcomed the Perry-Lecompton Kaws to Memorial Stadium Friday Night. It was a cold, rainy evening, yet the stands were crowded. Fans were eager to cheer on the Red Hawks in their homecoming game. The Red Hawks came into the game after giving the always tough Holton Wildcats a nice test in last Friday’s loss. Unfortunately, this year’s homecoming did not include a football victory. The loss marked the fifth in the last six games for the Hiawatha Red Hawks. The final score was 7-41.
