Two students--Luke McAfee of Horton High School and Kenzie Nelson of Hiawatha High School--scooped up snow for the Hiawatha World and Larryâs Barbershop on Wednesday afternoon.

The Horton Senior citizens members extend sincere condolences to the family and friends of Charlene Hansen. Charlene was a faithful member and a great support to our group and will be greatly missed. She was very dedicated to her community and church and went above and beyond to be of help in any way she could.

A Robinson woman was trapped in her house over the weekend from the snow accumulated by the blizzard that occurred last weekend.

The Morrill Public Library is once again collecting art for our annual art show.

I would like to express my thanks to everyone who stepped up to help out during the recent blizzard.

A massive blizzard blew through Hiawatha, the rest of Brown County and even across the United States. The blizzard hit Hiawatha and Brown County on Saturday, Jan. 4.
