Maple Bar was recognized as Hiawatha Chamber & Visitors Bureau’s Member of the Month for August on Tuesday afternoon.
Hiawatha held its Night Out Against Crime event on Tuesday evening, which featured emergency service vehicles being displayed for the public to see and interact with, different organizations to visit with, games to entertain and food that included corn dogs, chips, sodas and bottles of water.
Hiawatha, KS—August 13, 2025 – The Hiawatha School Supply Fund and Next Generation Financial Advisors-Thrivent are kicking off the new school year with a back-to-school BBQ! Families, students, community members and staff are invited to a Back to School Night on August 13th. In addition to students and parents meeting teachers and finding classrooms, a Back to School BBQ from 5:00-7:00 PM between Hiawatha Elementary School and the First United Methodist Church will be available to the community on a first come, first serve basis.
