Friends of Hospice meet on July 23
The monthly meeting of the Friends of Hospice Volunteers was held on Wednesday, July 23 at 2 p.m. at the Horton Library. Those in attendance were President Rosemary Schooler, Vice President Alisa Britt, Secretary Betty Robison, Nancy Burns, Donna Bottom, Dixie Westervelt, Volunteer Coordinator Michelle Bottom and Clinical Social Worker Kendra Cowley.

Hiawatha man moved from Brown County Jail to Jackson County Jail
A Hiawatha man who was arrested in February 2023 and sentenced in in December 2024 has been transferred from the Brown County Jail to the Jackson County Jail.
