The Doniphan West Junior High track teams turned in another impressive week of performances, competing in back-to-back meets at Centralia on Monday, May 5, and at the Oregon Trail League (OTL) Championship on Thursday, May 8, in Frankfort. The Mustangs showed consistency, depth, and championship grit across both meets.
The Doniphan West Junior High track teams wrapped up a strong week of competition with standout performances at the Nemaha Central Invitational on April 29 and the Riverside Meet on May 1. The Mustangs turned in multiple personal records and top finishes across both meets.
The Doniphan West Junior High School track team delivered an impressive performance at the JCNMS Relays held on Thursday, April 24, in Winchester, Kansas. Several athletes secured top-three finishes across various events, showcasing their dedication.
The Doniphan West junior high basketball teams wrapped up their seasons with strong performances in the OTL Tournament at Onaga on February 6. The Mustangs showcased their talent and determination throughout the tournament, with the boys capturing the OTL Championship and the girls finishing as OTL Runner-Up.
As the season nears its conclusion, the Doniphan West junior high basketball teams took on non-league competition before turning their focus to the OTL Tournament. The boys’ A-Team and B-Team traveled to Silver Lake and Holton on February 1 for competitive matchups against strong opponents.
The Doniphan West junior high basketball teams traveled to Onaga on Jan. 16 for another exciting round of competition. Both the girls’ and boys’ teams demonstrated grit and determination, with several games going down to the wire.
After a well-deserved Christmas break, the Doniphan West junior high girls’ and boys’ basketball teams hit the court again, taking on Centralia on Jan. 9. Both teams showcased determination and grit, starting the second half of the season with exciting matchups.
