In January, the Kansas American Legion Baseball Committee made a decision to award Hiawatha the 2025 Class B State American Legion Baseball Tournament. It had been 25 years since Hiawatha hosted and we were happy to be give the opportunity to host this year’s state tournament.

Hiawatha Post 66 played host to the 2025 Class B State American Legion Baseball Tournament. Hiawatha Post 66 was defeated by the number one seed, Marysville Post 163 by a score of 7-4. The game was played on Friday evening at Noble Park.

Hiawatha’s Homer White American Legion Post 66 is helping to celebrate the Centennial year of American Legion Baseball by hosting the 2025 Class B State American Legion Tournament on July 25-28 at Noble Park.
In the first game on Thursday evening, Hiawatha Post 66 lost to Doniphan County at 12-4.
Hiawatha Post 66 out-hit Marysville Post 163 10-7 in the first game. Unfortunately, this did not equate to a victory. The Post team 66 lost by a score of 11-10, notwithstanding a 5-0 lead in the second inning.
Hiawatha Post 66 beat the Post 23 Nationals in the first game on Sunday. The final score was 5-0.
