WICHITA — The Doniphan West High School track and field team closed out its season with strong performances at the KSHSAA State Championships, held May 30–31 at Cessna Stadium on the campus of Wichita State University. Several athletes advanced to finals, broke school records, and earned top finishes against the best in Class 2A.
The Doniphan West High School softball team wrapped up their 2025 season with a strong showing at the Class 2-1A Regional Tournament in Onaga. The Lady Mustangs opened regional play on May 19 with a solid 7-3 quarterfinal win over Republic County. The following day, they faced the host team, Onaga, in a tough semifinal matchup and fell by a score of 2-8. Doniphan West ends the season with a 10-11 overall record.
