The Horton Senior Center has Game Day every Saturday afternoon at 1-3 p.m. in the afternoon. Those attending choose which game or games they would like to play. Sometimes we have three different games going on at the same time! Visitors are welcome to come in and join us!

The Horton Senior Center members had drinks and treats brought in by our members on Tuesday morning. Our president made a few announcements about upcoming events. Those of us that volunteered to help deliver shelf stable food boxes for Northeast Kansas Area Agency on Aging were reminded to be at the center at 9 a.m. on Thursday, July 24. Thank you to Mary Pat and Phillip Jeffery, Laura and Larry Paulsen, and Jerry Holsman and Mary Patterson for volunteering!

Movie Nite at the Horton Senior Center featured a movie that was a wonderful story about Sybil Ludington, a young woman who rode 40 miles on horseback to notify militia about a British attack. Thank you to Jim and Shirley Foster for sharing the movie with us.

The members of the Horton Senior Center have been enjoying slightly cooler temperatures and rain showers this week. Game Day on Saturday was well attended and there was a lot of snacks to share. Coffee Group was also well attended. Janice Langdon provided cupcakes for those members who will celebrate birthdays in July.

The Horton Senior citizens members extend sincere condolences to the family and friends of Charlene Hansen. Charlene was a faithful member and a great support to our group and will be greatly missed. She was very dedicated to her community and church and went above and beyond to be of help in any way she could.
