The Horton Senior Center had their monthly carry in dinner on Tuesday, June 17 with 25 members and guests attending.

The members of the Horton Senior Center welcomed friends from Vintage Park on Monday, June 9. We had a good time visiting and a big thank you to Patsy Killoren for providing some treats. One member and a visitor took a quick tour of our veterans park.

Three were injured in a rollover crash near Horton on Wednesday evening, according to a report by the Kansas Highway Patrol.

The South Brown County Community Foundation (SBCCF) invites the public to its “Meet Our Nonprofits” event on Saturday, June 21, from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Horton Blue Building, located at 716 1st Ave. W.

The members of the Horton Senior Citizens Center wants to welcome Judith Williams who has volunteered to be our receptionist at the Center. She will be here several days each week to help visitors with any questions they may have or just welcome and visit. Be sure to drop in and welcome her!

Slavery and abortion are two controversial topics that have shaped our values as a society. Both of these topics evoke strong emotions and have sparked numerous debates throughout history. While slavery and abortion have a few fundamental differences, they are honestly a lot similar than people realize. Both raise many questions and concerns pertaining to individual rights of a person and the value of a human life.

The South Brown County Community Foundation (SBCCF) is pleased to announce its fourth annual Match Days, taking place July 15 - 17, 2025, at the Horton Blue Building during the Brown County Fair. The in-person giving event will run each evening from 4:30PM to 7:30 PM, and online donations will be accepted at growsouthbrown.com from July 15 through midnight on July 17.
