The Brown County commissioners appointed the latest member of the Northeast Kansas Community Action Program during Monday’s county meeting.All commission members passed a motion to approve appointing Jim Shear as a member of the NEK-CAP board of directors.Below are other items that were discussed during the meeting:• Brown County Commissioners Richard Lehmkuhl and William Pollock approved a purchase for a 2003 Mack truck for District 3 for $35,000.
