A day to remember

As we prepare for a long weekend and make plans with our families and friends, remember what this weekend is about. Memorial Day is a day to remember our heroes that didn’t make it home. Remmeber their sacrifice and the honor in which they served to give us the freedoms we enjoy today.

A message for Mother’s Day

Happy Mothers’ Day! I am looking forward to this one, my mom and sister are coming to see me preach. Like many preachers this week-end, I will be sharing the story of the raising of Tabitha. Which highlights the importance of women disciples in the early church…and Tabitha was certainly a church mother to celebrate.

When I used to go camping with the Boy Scouts, especially summer camp, I did not even bring a flashlight with me because the trails just seemed to be brighter than the surrounding woods no matter whether there was a full moon or no moon.
