Taylor Allen Hughes was born November 7th, 2001, and lived his life in Hiawatha Kansas. he passed away on August 12, 2024, at the age of 22. He was very active in sports and excelled in wrestling by placing 1st in so many tournaments and running varsity all through high school for cross country.
Taylor graduated from Hiawatha High School and continued his education with a full ride to Highland Community College where he graduated with a degree in diesel mechanics. Taylor’s biggest joy in life was hanging with his boys, rollin’ coal, working on his diesel truck, and spending time with his dog Oakley. Taylor was preceded in death by his grandmother Paula Segrest of Hiawatha, great-grandmother Tillie Bailey of Hiawatha, great-grandfather Paul Bengtson of Georgia, and grandfather Woody Hughes of Robinson.
He is survived by his mother and father Erin and Jesse Hughes of Hiawatha, sister, Kaitlyn Hughes of Hiawatha, brother Dawson Hughes of Hiawatha, grandfather Earl Bailey of Hiawatha and grandmother Rose Hughes of Robinson, several cousins, aunts, and uncles, and his “boy’s” brothers from other mothers, and his beloved dog Oakley Memorial services will be at the Fisher Community Center on August 22 2024 at 11 am.
